Preservation Durham is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year! We will be hosting an anniversary celebration, highlighting 50 years of Preservation Durham history. Stroll back in time (with a drink) to revisit some of the highs and lows in Durham's preservation story. Visit partners tables that helped change the course of history in saving some of our local landmarks, and learn how these sites are being used today. We'll top of the night with a few community preservation awards to commemorate the excellent working taking place in Durham today and into the future. An organization only turns 50 once, we hope you'll join us to celebrate this milestone!

When: Tuesday, November 19th, 6-8 pm

Where: The Fruit, located at 305 S Dillard St, Durham.

Cost: Free, with a suggested donation of $25 per person for those who are able.

Advanced registration for this event is now closed but a limited number of tickets will still be available at the door the day of the event.

Community Partners

As we reflect back on 50 years of preservation stories, many were the success of collaborative partnerships. Often, Preservation Durham's involvement was advocacy, technical support, or facilitating a path forward for stewardship. Some key preservation wins resulted in the creation of new organizations. Several partners will join us at the event to tell these stories in their own words and share how historic preservation continues to be a part of Durham's diverse community.
