George Watts Hill Leadership Circle

HillCircle-orangeAs you donate, please consider joining Preservation Durham’s George Watts Hill Leadership Circle, a group of individual and corporate donors who give at least $1,000 annually to Preservation Durham’s general fund. Hill Circle members come together several times a year to discuss important preservation issues and enjoy special tours.

Mr. Hill was a banker, businessman, civic leader and philanthropist, who influenced many areas of Durham life for half a century. He was one of the first to recognize the vision of Preservation Durham and generously funded the Society’s first publication, Bull Durham and Beyond. Preservation Durham is pleased to honor him and to thank members of his family who carry on his tradition of philanthropy.

Preservation Durham is a 501(c)3 non-profit and your donation is fully tax-deductible.

There are several other ways to support the work of Preservation Durham:

Preservation Durham holds several events each year that are sponsored by individuals and local businesses, such as the Old Durham Home Tour, the Preservation Party Fall Fundraiser, Renovators Network, and other event series.  Sponsorships are acknowledged in advertising for the event, printed materials at the event and on our website (clickable links can include your business logo).

At several of our events, we auction or raffle items donated by local businesses. These items include craft goods, local products, professional services, gift certificates and much more. The silent auction at the Preservation Party Fall Fundraiser, for example, is attended by an average of 250 people each year. Donating an item is a great way to get your business seen by our membership. Let us know if you have something to donate.

We also gratefully accept donations of office equipment, professional services, and office space.
