This striking two-story brick house was built in 1924 and is located on beautiful Watts Street in Trinity Park, one of Durham's most prominent historic in-town  neighborhoods.  The house has a distinctive dominating mission-style central dormer and the slightly pedimented front porch has is composed of stone plinths  supporting paired columns. The house has an impressive Arts & Crafts style central staircase opening onto a main second floor landing from which four bedrooms  are accessed.  The dining room has original chest-high paneled wainscoting supporting a plate rail.  The majority of the floors are hardwood. There are two fireplaces  downstairs and one fireplace upstairs, one bathroom downstairs and another upstairs.  Most of the original moldings and doors are still present.  Heating is  accomplished by natural gas boiler/radiator system.  According to the previous owner the roof was re-shingled in 1993-94 and the boiler was purchased in 1987.
